Connect a WooCommerce Extension 

The WooCommerce extension allows gift cards of your gift card program to be applied to shopping carts on your WooCommerce store.

1) Login to your Loopz dashboard

2) Go to the Extensions screen and click Connect on the WooCommerce extension

3) Copy the API Key from the WooCommerce extension dialog.

Note: You must be on the Advanced plan to connect a WooCommerce extension.

4) Login to the admin area of your Wordpress site and navigate to the Plugins screen.

5) Click on Add New > Upload Plugin

6) Download our WooCommerce plugin

7) Select the plugin file and click Install Now. Once the installation is complete, click Activate Plugin.

8) Click on Settings > Loopz Gift Cards in the admin menu

9) Paste the API Key you copied from the Loopz dashboard and click Connect to Loopz

10) Once you’ve connected the Loopz WooCommerce plugin, you’ll be able to enable the plugin and configure how gift cards will be used on shopping cart in your store.

How gift cards work with shopping carts

Shoppers on your site will be able to apply their gift card to their shopping cart.

When a gift card code is applied to a shopping cart, the gift card’s balance is retrieved from Loopz and applied to the shopping cart’s total. The current balance of the gift card is also shown in the shopping cart totals. When an order is placed, the gift card will be charged immediately. A gift card can be used for multiple orders until it’s balance is depleted.

Refunding a WooCommerce order with a gift card applied

The current version of the Loopz WooCommerce plugin does not refund the gift card amount applied to an order when the order is cancelled or refunded. We’ll add this capability in a future update of the plugin.
